Policies, Booking

What is your redo policy if I’m unhappy with my service?

Your experience matters to us. If you’re unhappy with your haircut or service, we would be happy to offer a complimentary redo within 7 days of your original visit. In some cases, we may extend that timeframe if additional hair growth is needed or scheduling makes it difficult to return within a week. Redo services are available at any Finley’s location and with any barber/stylist. If a redo isn’t the right solution for you, please reach out to us and we’ll be happy to explore other options.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods as indicated at each location. Please note that most locations DO NOT accept cash. We recommend checking with your specific location or bringing a card for payment.

Do you accept tips?

Yes, tips are always appreciated! While tipping is not required, it's a great way to show your barber that you're happy with their work. Tips can be added when paying with a card or given directly to your barber.

Where are your locations?

We have multiple locations throughout Austin and the DFW area. Visit our Locations page to find the one nearest you, see hours, get directions, and book an appointment. Each location has its own unique character while maintaining the same high-quality service.

Are all locations the same?

All Finley's locations maintain our high standards for service and quality. However, each location has its own team of barbers and may have slightly different amenities or specialties. We recommend trying different locations to find the barber and atmosphere that's perfect for you.

What are your hours?

Hours vary by location. Please visit our Locations page and select your preferred location to see current hours. Most locations are open Monday through Saturday, with some locations offering Sunday hours. Hours may vary during holidays.

What services do you offer?

We offer a full range of barbering services including haircuts, fades, beard trims, hot towel shaves, mustache grooming, edge ups, and styling. We also offer grooming services like ear, nose, and brow waxing or trimming, as well as facial services and camo color for grey coverage. What is the difference between a barber and a cosmetologist?

Barbers are specifically trained and licensed to work with men's hair, facial hair, and grooming needs. They specialize in clipper work, fades, and traditional barbering techniques. Cosmetologists are trained in a broader range of services including women's hair, coloring, and chemical treatments. At Finley's, all our barbers are licensed professionals who specialize in men's grooming.

How do I get a free edge out?

We offer complimentary edge-outs between haircuts to help you stay looking sharp. Simply walk in and request a complimentary edge-out at the front desk.If you’re visiting a location different from where you typically receive your haircut, the team will need to contact your home shop to confirm eligibility. This service is complimentary for our regular clients and is designed to help maintain your look for up to 14 days after your last haircut. Availability may vary by location and time of day.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes! Gift cards are available for purchase at any of our locations or online. Visit a location to purchase a Gift Card, if you would prefer an instant eGift Certificate online, just choose your preferred location from the top header bar, click the BOOK NOW button, then on the online booking screen select the BUY link, you will be directed to the online eGift Certificate page. They make great gifts for birthdays, holidays, or just because. Gift cards never expire and can be used for any service at any Finley's location.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book an appointment through our website by clicking on the "BOOK NOW" buttons, or by visiting the "LOCATIONS" page and clicking on your preferred location. Each location has a booking link that will take you to our online booking system. Can I walk in without an appointment?

Yes! We welcome walk-ins at all of our locations, subject to availability. However, we recommend booking an appointment in advance to ensure you get the time slot that works best for you. Walk-ins are served on a first-come, first-served basis.

How do I reschedule my appointment?

You can reschedule your appointment by logging into your account on our online booking site, responding to your confirmation text, or contacting us directly via phone (Austin: 512-401-3689, Dallas: 214-613-1697) or emailing us at feedback@finleysbarbershop.com We ask that you notify us at least 3 hours in advance when rescheduling to avoid any fees and so that we can accommodate other clients.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that sometimes you need to cancel unexpectedly. We ask that you please cancel at least 3 hours before your appointment to avoid any fees. Late cancellations (less than 3 hours prior) or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee. You can also cancel your appointment through the online booking site or by responding to your confirmation text.

How long does a haircut take?

A standard haircut typically takes 30-45 minutes, depending on the service and style you choose. More complex services like fades, beard trims, or full grooming services may take longer. Your barber will give you an estimated time when you book.

First Visit

What should I expect on my first visit?

When you arrive, you'll check in at the front desk. Your barber will greet you and discuss what style you're looking for. Feel free to bring photos or describe your preferred look. After your service, your barber will show you the finished result and you can schedule your next appointment if desired.

Do I need to bring anything?

No, we provide everything you need! Just bring yourself and an idea of what style you'd like. If you have a specific reference photo or style in mind, feel free to bring it or show it on your phone. We have all the tools, products, and equipment needed for your service.

Is there an age requirement?

We welcome clients of all ages! We offer services for men and boys of all ages. For younger clients, we recommend bringing them in for their first haircut when they're comfortable. Our barbers are experienced with working with children and can make the experience fun and comfortable.

Gift Certificates, Gift Cards

How do I purchase a Gift Certificate?

Purchase a Gift Certificate online by clicking the Locations tab, select the location of your choice, then click 'View Details'. Scroll down to click 'Purchase eGift Certificate' and follow the prompts to complete checkout. You can also purchase a Gift Certificate during the online booking process by clicking 'Buy' in the top left corner. The Gift Certificate can be emailed or printed upon purchase. Gift Certificates are valid for 2 years and can be used at all locations.
